Alex.. Isaiah has never been a "conscious" rapper... Speaking mainly about politics etc, or linking his own world to it. Hes always been pushing his own lyricism that centers around depression, alcoholism, drug abuse, love, his habitat etc... dunno why a tde artist can't do that in yr opinion. And ot, wheres the damn vinyl? TDE sucks at putting out vax.

The Sun's Tirade crosses a fine line away from traditional rap into new-age territory while holding on to some hip-hop character, but the album's obsession with emotional hood-centricity ultimately holds it back. Ghetto American feelings and pastimes are still valid, but they are not put in the context of the greater economic world order here. People expect more out of Top Dawg Entertainment and greater material from Isaiah Rashad at this point.
