This release is a historical recording, recorded live in the studio of Hungarian Radio on 13th January, 1950. This is part 1 (hence the 1 in the title) of the series of live recordings of Klemperer entitled: "Klemperer In Budapest (1948-1950 Live Recordings)". This whole title appears on the front cover, as well as the titles of the works. The title of this release in hungarian (printed on back cover) reads: Klemperer Budapesten — 1.
The liner notes are in Hungarian; the tracklisting is in Hungarian and English.
Comes with as 12" booklet with information in English, French, German and russian.

The complete durations are printed on the LP; Track A1d and A1k are listed without their duration.
