Notes

p 2008 WHBT Records
"Done by some bootleg fools in Kazikstan.
555 Borat Street Kazik, KA 80085"

Side A samples 'Mr. Jaws' by Dickie Goodman, side B samples 'The Great March To Freedom' by Martin Luther King.
Release is suspected to be mastered from compact cassette due to low sound quality.

Release discrepancies:

1) Tracks A2 & B2 are not mentioned on label but are different mixes of A1 & B1.
2) Re: Side A, a statement has been issued by the original artist that Ron Hardy had nothing to do with the recording of these tracks, although he did DJ them.
3) The record is released with a false moniker, "Jackmaster Hater" as the Main Artist.

Robert Owens - Your Mind, creepy basement vibes. I never really knew this one before Sunil Sharpe dropped in a mix. Sunil, top dawg.

played this track once in the record shop of a friend. Not needed to say that people got uncomfortable and i was never again invited to drop a record even when all my friends played together. That's how good it is. And that's how a dedicated soulful house music record shop understands music.

i think that B side uses a reconstructed melody that can be heard at an earlier disco classic called 'The Music Got Me' by Visual

Since my fascination for Hardy's mixtapes, it was the 'Your Mind' track that became my nr 1 house record of all times, and the most desirable, due to the fact that it was never released on vinyl. I've also understood that this track is known as the 'holy grail' of house music according to music and house fans all over the world.
The track itself (the 2nd mix) is a very stripped down (minimal if you want)record containing elements of Novaga's Faces Drums and a repeating voice. In the midlle at it's climax there's a little Mirage-sound (if you pay notice) You have to hear it to believe that this is one of the most powerful, dark, atmospheric and insane track there's ever made.

And now it's available on vinyl
Unfortunately it's a bootleg and the sound is terrible (because of the orignal tapes). In fact the record is unplayable for the clubs. But maybe that is a good thing, because when it is played out everywhere, it looses some of it's magic.
Conclusion: brilliant music, bad medium.
