What is a "perfect" record?
Maybe one that makes it impossible to decide which side to play first, simply because both are different, yet equally amazing.
To me, Oban is one of those records.

The original version is a beautiful blend of different elements, brought together in the most epic way possible.
Todd Terje, however, still manages to extract the bare essentials, that are responsible for those 12.5 minutes of pure joy, and turns them into a slightly more dancefloor-suited track.

There aren't that many outstanding remixes like this one by Todd Terje, that add this much to an already great single.
Then again, there aren't that many tracks that manage to outperform their own remixes, like Oban does, at the same time.

5/5
An otherworldly experience.
