The title track is reason enough to buy this whole EP, it's a fast authentic Chicago-sounding track, I only recently came to JTC's music and you could have fooled me into thinking it was an actual late 80's Chicago house track I just hadn't heard yet.

I love this record but there's no denying where JTC got the idea for Jak Your Own Stars from: http://www.discogs.com/ESP-Its-You/release/119001

Rick Wade's remix all the way - fantastic sub bass will rattle your bones!

When you pick this up go straight for Jak Your Own Stars. New school Jak beats for the craziest Chicago fans, both old and new. Eerie 80s synth lines and a nice bass line that reeks of disco funk until it starts dripping Acid three quarters of the way through. On time is a nice piece of work, very drum oriented but the bass line is the real star on that one...shines right through the percussion and samples. I'll pass on the Rick Wade mix though, the Angry Pimp is a bit soft for me.

Thanks to Tadd for bringing JTC back, the world could use a few more artists like this guy. This release is real diverse and can fit the needs of most any Detroit/Chicago fanatic and is definitely worth picking up on sight.

Head straight for the original mix. On time is raw, jackin' chicago house of the highest calibre. The bass line sucks you in and won't let go, pure energy. Octopus is an electro track in the same vein.

"On time" the wade mix is the one to go for on this vinyl, So simple straight to business material it's hard to believe it's the same track as the original, Deep chords and a subtle groove flowing side by side with a repetitive but suitable vocal, The mix is kinda reminiscent of the lounge side of Naked music.
