Composed from February to May 1983 near Paris.
Outside recording on PCM F1 Sony Digital.
The artwork of the inner sleeve consists of 11 polaroïd photographs illustrating the story of the making of the record, step by step, the 12th space remaining vacant for the buyer to put a picture of himself.

Side B total duration: 15:52

A single copy has been pressed in Averton by M.P.O in the presence of a bailiff.
The mother record used for the pressing will be destroyed in public at the auction;
Record compagny: Disques Dreyfus (P)(C) 1983.
Following the auction, the record will be broadcasted once only on the Radio-Luxembourg.

Probably the biggest con job of music industry ever schemed.
Reason one is because 3 tracks would be present in future releases.
Reason two: 4 tracks are experimental fillers.
The only track that was left as the golden egg for the record was Overture.
If you listen to the bootleg tracks versus "Diva", Blah-Blah Cafe" & "Fifth Rendez-Vous, Pt. III",
you will understand how this could have been conducted very theatrically,
as the mixes and samples are identical to each other (some speed alteration, but the same).

The man just dropped Planet Jarre today, It has i track off Music for Supermarkets which confirms that the master tapes still exist!

Hopefully it gets a re-release one day!

according to Wikipedia, the Master tapes were destroyed at the auction where the single copy was sold...some time after that event, the whole album was broadcasted on Radio Luxembourg...that means that the radio-station must have another Master tape in its archive that was used for the broadcast ! (or it was destroyed too?
