Fourteen years on from Oxygene finds JMJ's creativity on the downward spiral and the desire to integrate music and visuals into one creative whole eclipsing other considerations. This album should by rights be judged a weak affair but 25 years on from it's release my jury is still out.
Track 1 is all 'show', you can see the ghost of Liberace looking over his shoulder and gurning at the camera all through this one. Calypso 2 and 3 are more serious and measured affairs but the standout track that stops the whole thing getting submerged is a rather good ambient piece in the same vein as Eno's 'Neroli', sombre and cool, worth having even if Calypso I - III are a little too 'populist'.
