Notes

Jeff Beck has challenged expectations of guitar players, and what could be done with the guitar, ever since he appeared in the 1960s. This two-hour documentary film looks at the Guitar Hero’s early history, as explored through interviews with former bandmates, plenty of concert footage from throughout his career, rare photos and video, and more. The interviews are new, and much of the concert and other video footage throughout the film is pulled from throughout Beck’s career. Speaking about Beck as an all around different player than his two most oft-compared peers -- Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page -- many who have recorded and toured with Beck over the decades weigh in. Interviews with two members of the Yardbirds, Jim McCarty and Chris Dreja, ‘70s bandmates Max Middleton and Tim Bogert, famous rock groupie and author Pamela Des Barres, early managers Giorgio Gomelsky and Simon Napier Bell, and others, give us a deep insight to Beck, the person and the musician. Main Running Time 129 min. Screen Format 16:9. Region Free. Stereo Sound. THIS DVD IS NOT AUTHORIZED BY JEFF BECK NOR BY HIS REPRESENTATIVES.
