"Try to imagine the meaning of Imagine. Inconsistent thought patterns that run deep within our subconscious, harboring, dismissing and concluding perform an arranged marriage between what we believed then and now. This is law of human reaction and it is what we must see first."

At First Sight is conceived, written and produced for Axis Records.
All compositions were recorded at The Spider Formation, Chicago.

There are few albums which I can truly enjoy from beginning to end without feeling the desire to skip a track or just switch off. However, listening to 'At First Sight', I was taken on a beautiful journey through ambient techno which delivered to the end. The melodies throughout work cohesively with some fantastic string compositions and cosmically evocative soundscapes.

An excellent release which I highly recommend to anyone who appeciates listening to techno. This album in many ways sums up my perception of Jeff Mills's sound and ranks alongside my other favourite album of his being 'The Other Day'.

This album deserves a much higher rating. Perhaps, a significant proportion of those people who are into the harder, rhythmic 'Bells' type tracks just don't walm to this more cerebrally stimulating style. Personally, I love both :)
