1993&1994,exciting times,DJs and producers from Detroit were coming of age and headlining parties in the UK to maximum capacity crowds.I was at the Jeff Mills debut in London and cant put into words the excitment on the dancefloor and when Jeff started mixing and doing spinbacks, well my life changed right there..
Every DJ and record collector wanted Jeffs music,Waveforms to axis004 were bought wholesale. One evening Jeff played a tune which stopped people in their tracks, hard fast trippy techno, definatly a must have.It took a while to discover the name of the release, which you couldnt get for love nor money!Eventually "fatcat" had very limited numbers which sold very quickly.Simply known as Axis009(nothing written on record)try and own a copy if you can. There was a follow up,Axis009b also worth checking.
