Flawed and not perfectly beatmatched and raw and and energetic and beautiful. Pure DJing bliss and I consider myself lucky to have seen Jeff Mills play during this era - completely out of this world.

I saw Jeff Mills first time at SONAR'97 (Barcelona) and I got in shock by his galactic music... Then I bought this magnificient CD and I realised I was in front of a new generation of music.
After this, I went to SONAR'98 and SONAR'99 again to dive into the Jeff Mills World... specially in SONAR'99 I touched the sky with the fantastic set he did, very similar to this CD and some new tracks.
I can confirm I had the best enjoyable time in my life with this music. Thanks Jeff !!!

This cd is a very good buy. Unlike other djs Jeff Mills puts feeling into his music and especially his mixes. The normal dj usually plays a track for 10 minutes (BORING!) then transitions into another track and plays yet another 10 minutes (BORING!) where as Jeff Mills plays a track from anywhere from 12 seconds to < 5 minutes and on top of that he usually plays multiple tracks at the same time continuously sustaining all tracks in sync, hinting that it sounds better! I am surprised that some people think that he is a bad Dj but really I have noticed from some of his Dj videos he "messes up" on purpose... adds effects to the tracks being played simultaneously... anyway... Really consider listening to this cd, don't go buy what people, that don't understand Jeff Mills, say.

This record opened me and my friends eyes when it came out back in '96. We were totally sold on this one. Played it all the time for everyone, everywhere. It was an opener that made me look up a lot of technostuff. It's fast and furious techno with lots a twists and funkiness. He plays the records for a minute and a half and then quickly moves on to the next one. Among the available Mills mix-records this one stands out as truly the best in my opinion. A must hear that catches the essence of Mills.

Well I must say that when i listen to this mix from The Wizard I'm always disapointed. Listening this live would be a fantastic experience but on cd it's not. I don't know why but Jeff Mills on cd is not the same than Jeff Mills in club or party. On cd and particulary on this one you hear every mix mistake and personaly on this mix there too much.
Conclusion : not the best mix cd form Jeff Mills
