My disc is off center, the pops are frequent and loud and the cover looks to similar to the Aliens lp they did a couple years back. Overall I'm underwhelmed

I'm pretty disappointed with the tracklisting on this tbh. The Main Title is not the one used in the film and several other cues from the actual film are missing. Also 'The Shaft' and a couple of other key cues are not the ones used in the film - although admittedly there were taken from another film 'Freud', they are still by Goldsmith and it would've been nice to have this attention to detail. Finally, the end credits are not the same as the ones used in the film. I know this is by Howard Hanson, not Goldsmith, but it would have shown a bit more effort had gone in. Some of the missing cues are on the 4LP version, but not all and certainly not enough to warrant $75. A missed opportunity.

I managed to walk away unscathed in regards to surface noise. quiet pressing, well done packaging. Super happy with this release and its quality.

Should we make a listing for the mispress of the first disk being too big and hole being off?

This just arrived yesterday. Overall, it sounds pretty good! There is, of course, the underlying surface noise that we've all come to expect from Mondo - no surprise there. It's particularly noticeable in parts where the score is quiet, and this one has some quiet "suspense building" parts to it. In cases like this I tend to think CDs sound better unless the pressing and mastering are absolutely flawless. Considering that when you're watching the film, the music in the background is not playing via turntable...

I tend to judge scores like this by my Audio Fidelity pressing of Blade Runner, which sounds phenomenal in every way. I wish Mondo, WaxWork and a few others would take a cue from AF (and others) and go the extra mile on getting better pressing quality from some of these releases. They deserve it, and so do we.

I'm underwhelmed by the "acid green" wax. Meh. It's ok but I'm wishing now I'd have opted for the a black version - my guess is the surface noise would be a little less. The cover is also just alright, though I prefer the original art that 20th Century Fox had. Giger art would have also been cool.

Despite coming in a heavy duty cardboard mailer, the cover was of course damaged, which sucks. I blame Mondo for this and wish they would start shipping records OUTSIDE of the album cover and INSIDE a plastic sleeve. I've found that this greatly reduces damage to both the record sleeves and album covers.

All in all, solid release.
