I must say, I've never been a big fan of the original album, but I dig the TV Special version. I've never seen or heard the original TV special, so I can't comment on whether the original mix is better than the Steven Wilson remix presented here, but this sounds great to me. The mastering is great as well. I was expecting the modern day brick-walled, louder than god mastering, so I started off with the volume low, and I actually ended up turning it up - quite a bit, actually! Very full rich sound, not at all harsh or fatiguing. The booklet is awesome, to boot - jam-packed, informative, and lots of great photos. In short - a modern CD actually worth owning! Grab this one if you're a fan of the original album, hell, grab it even if you're not.
