I couldn't agree with you more about the strengths of this album, Abraham1. The musicians do a beautiful job creating a fabulous sonic space for him to work in, but Cocker's performance is blistering hot, even on the quiet numbers.

The first CD I ever bought, and one of the top five live albums I've ever heard--only the Benny Goodman Carnegie Hall Jazz Concert tops it. And don't let the negatives here fool you. Leon Russell was a marvel, but Joe Cocker was the electricity from start to finish. No rocker better than Cocker, it seems to me.
