First edition with sleeves hand-dipped in plaster; most copies of which include a string to tear open the sleeve. Artist name, title and label hand-written in plaster. The cover concept is by the artist C V Mansoor and the albums were hand dipped in plaster by Mansoor and Bender in the artist's studio in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mansoor also designed and drew the record's label. With a small number of the albums collages, xerox art and Polaroid photographs by Mansoor or the artist Peter Huttinger were inserted into the record sleeves before they were sealed and dipped in plaster.

I alway s have been busy with that record,i remenber when i buy it,was in Frisco. A sunday i was in record fair, and well i was asking to a seller a list of records i was looking for and finally ask for John Bender records and i still remenber the head of the guy, with large glasses and his very interrogative eyes and that question: "how do u know John Bender ?" and my shiny answer: "well in Europe a lot of people looks for john Bender records and he said is got copy from one son of john, he said ok come to my house, so i go there on Monday and get the records plaster falling and pop surgery 30 bucks at time and it s just yesterday (he was working in Amoeba in Berkeley).Well in my return in France i put on my turntable and "39a5 something" kill me, i was knock out! and i still busy today, i have play it 3 times, put it for sale with a supa high price like nobody can t buy it.......i just start myself to have answer with that record, have got a friend who ve been in the Moma in NYC, and he show me pictures of the Smiths cover and i love the Smiths however, but every handmade cover and record inside.....i think that s art, i mean John Bender work is more than a product, i really think that s modern art and i understand why i m busy with john record at my own and modest point of view of course ........sorry for my bad english writing and it s a true story .........
