The average rating on here is high so I gave it a shot. Upon two listens, some observations:
-quiet pressing, nary a pop or click in my copy.
-sax sounds great, piano could be better, seems to top out occasionally, bass is a bit muddy, drums ok.
-overall, considering the cost, I think it's a decent buy, though I haven't listened to my CD in awhile. There is dimension to the sound, I would give other Wax Time pressings a try based on this. So I can't agree with the other review below but if I get ahold of a copy from the Rhino pressing a few years back I'll compare and update accordingly.

Horrible Sound! Horrible Mastering! Spoty sounds better. I don't understand why serious jazz shops sell records from this label. A waste of money! The first and the last record of this label in my collection.
