A highly varied record : the affordable pieces, in a more ordinary / commercial vein and of defined kinds : standards, blues, lap steel are rather placed at the beginning of the record. They are rather short. The surprising, original pieces not to say experimental, them are rather long (about ten minutes length) and a little more toward the end with the exception of a surprising piece, placed on track 2, based on samples of Gamelan, birds and synth. A cd where there is for all the tastes without this remark be pejorative. Let us add that Laurie Hogin's paintings used for the jacket are luxurious, but you can see by yourself.
