Nice sonics but perhaps not as holographic as other ECM releases from that time.
Side A is very reminiscent of long intros from the 1970s.
Dejohnnette's percussion work is very nice and clear, on several tracks dialogue betweenSurnam and Dejohnnette is excellent and has superb sonics (eg A4, B4).
