John Tejada's debut under his own name, LITTLE GREEN LIGHTS AND FOUR INCH FADERS, kicks off with the warm pads of "L.E.D.," while "In Control" kicks up the juice. The deep percussion of "Pasadena Shuffle" thunders in place before the melody comes in to file away the heavy edges, and “Caspa” twinkles lighter on its feet. The plodding percussion of “Prism War” almost seems at odds with the spacy tones over it, but the wavy “Streamer” sweeps in with the groove. “Disruption” gets twitchier, however, only to smooth itself out with “Green Fingers.” Classic Detroit techno nods pleasantly with “Solar Eyes” and the sweeping “Umbilical” until it culminates in the interstellar funk of “Journey Home.” The start to a great career.
