Yes, I'm with dj_welly on this. It was a fantastic EP, with "The Captain" & "Open Up Your Eyes" immediately the 2 stand out tracks.

I used to play them both incessantly & loudly declare to anybody that would listen that they were both destined to become massive hits. Needless to say they faded into oblivion, which goes to show what I know!

Anyway I was in the car several years later & onto the radio came "The Captain", but with an added vocal.
It was, & still is, common practice for major labels to take instrumental club records & add a vocal for a mainstream chart audience. So it seemed immediately obvious to me that this had now finally happened here too.

But as we now all know, it was in fact Armand van Helden's "U Don't Know Me".

I feel really sorry for Johnny D & Nicky P because the use of that tiny snippet sampled from Carrie Lucas "Dance With You" to produce "The Captain" was really creative & inspired, yet history has only ever credited "Dance With You" as the source of the original sample for "U Don't Know Me".
