It's a shame that Jordan 'Jordash' Czamanski rarely uses the Jordan GCZ alias, because when he does, the results are rarely less than spellbinding. Following last year's memorable outing on Future Times, he dons the pseudonym once more for a delightfully imaginative 12" on Rush Hour. The title track is particularly delicious, tiptoeing the fine line between picturesque beauty and late night creepiness via dreamy, drawn-out chords, bubbling electronics and eyes-closed synthesizer arpeggios. There's a little more sun-kissed beauty about the sparse slap bass, tumbling melodies and fluid electronics of "Lushlyfe Slap", while "Lushlyfe Birds" sees the Amsterdam-based producer drift off into vintage ambient territory. As predicted, all three tracks are wonderful.

Lush atmospheres for waking up early after going to bed early. The more I listen to the record the more I love it, not to mention one of my favorite jacket designs of 2015 so far.
