Notes

Original 7" EP edition. 1000 copies, released on the band's own label. The sleeve was printed on a 14" x 14" piece of thin cardstock and then folded into four squares.

Recorded at Pennine Sound Studio, Dec. 77
This is not a concept E.P. it's an enigma
All complaints:- Terry Mason

Numerous counterfeit editions of this release exist. Only the original vinyl has serrated vinyl around the label and different contours on the label.

While the band was known as Warsaw (3) during the recording sessions for this release, they changed their name to Joy Division before the release took place, and that is the name that appears on the record.

I finally put my hands on it ... since my 16 years old I listen to JD & NO, since I am collecting the bands ... I am seeking for JD Lp bootlegs, & complete my collections all the time ... I put my hands on Sordide Sentimental 7" original 8 years ago, & 2 years ago finally put my hand on AIFL ep originals 12" & 7" .... JD & me, a never ending story ;) For the little story, I had the AIFL 7" dedicated in person by Peter Hook on last september in Paris :)

How do these sound? Documentaries on JD say that the initial run of 7" was horrendous but the problem was fixed on the 12" pressing.
