A fine production of soulful atmosphere with cool steps, “Come Into My Life” brings the mega producer Kurtis Mantronik and the sweet lyrics of Joyce Sims with the best of the romantic spirit. If you wanna call the track a 'charmin' R&B', it would be quite reasonable - but know that there are no terms of comparison with the tunes of the genre today.
First of all, we are talking about 1987, a very nice decade for all these sorts of production, at least much better than nowadays. And we must not forget that the producer Kurtis Khaleel has a hell of a talent to conceive these charmin' tracks, including the fact that this tune was edited by the brilliant Chep Nunez.
The lyrics, written by Joyce Sims herself, tell the story of a girl in Love, willing to open the door for her beloved boy to come into her life. There is a very special climax in the chorus part (“Come into my life, I got so much love to show you / Come into my life, boy I adore you”) – specially for a girl’s point of view, of course – that reflects the deep feelings present on that classic.
