I love the reference to "legendary German cult band Nargaroth" when Nargaroth had only been around for two years at this point, four years if you believe René's redacted timeline where Nargaroth started in '96. But regardless there was no recorded output until '98. Everybody really fell for it back then didn't they? I don't know why I'm commenting this here but I always get a chuckle when I see old liner notes and such with bands giving respect to Kanwulf when the facts were yet to come out. This has no bearing on what a great live CD this is. Black metal live albums are always hit-or-miss but this one really nails it, raw sound but with everything still audible and reasonably discernible. I'm glad someone documented this final show. A live version of Judas Iscariot is a rarity that materialized only twice, the previous gig in San Antonio TX being a memorable one as well (video and audio of that show exists as well but is fairly sub-par).
