Agree with the review below in a big way. Emerging From Under is my favourite Kai Alce track ever. It's melancholic, haunting, uplifting and joyous all at once. I think some of the best house music doesn't necessarily have to leave you feeling euphoric with lyrics or a sentiment about being in love or that you belong to something bigger. This song is for a personal moment on a dancefloor, when you can be alone and immerse yourself in the music, and maybe the thoughts running through your head are sad, but I'm thankful I'm feeling something nonetheless.

'Emerging From Under' is a track that should be heard, but owing to industry tastes, doesn't seem to make it into enough folk's boxes. Its among the cloutiest, deepest thumpers in Kai's repertoire & the thick, soothing organ harmonies make for a sure fire jam. The arrangement is great, doesn't do too much with a subtle drop near the end- functional in the mix. Warm & melodic with a soothing baseline underpinning a phased rattling house skeleton that chuggs along with a definite deep 'D' feel & perhaps a splash of NY. Dirty South Dirt offers 2 versions, rich on conga led machine percussion & a melancholy mood. A soulful release...
