i'd appreciate the hidden record gimmick if it was a little easier to access it without hacking away with a razor blade, leaving an untidy mess on an otherwise beautifully packaged LP set, fantastic listening though...

When I hear Kamasi Washington playing on his saxophone horn, it often transports me to another realm. Especially when I am listening to it on my good Sony headphones. Once, I completely missed the delivery of a medium-sized pepperoni pizza and a big bottle of cola
from Dominoes as I didn’t hear the doorbell ringing, because I was so entranced by this excellent jazz music!!

The music is good, but I have strong objections over the pressing quality. Pops, clicks and noise abound even after record cleaning machine treatment. And the treble is very rounded off, very little headroom. The digital version of this sounds much better unfortunately.

In the worst idea in packaging ever, there 5th record is sealed within a seam you have to cut open resulting in the record being covered in lots of card/paper residue when removing it as it doesn't even have a sleeve, just an inlay next to it. Awful packaging idea.

Great pressing (remember all new records should be cleaned before playing!) but is anyone else too scared to get to the hidden record? Might just leave it as is

Anyone else has the label of side D also on side C? As in the same labels on both sides.

European pressing sounds amazing! Definitely recorded better than Epic, which often has a ravel of musical instruments in channels. No background noise, sounds as a cd in terms of quietness. One dusty fingerprint on surface from factory, that's all. Better clean before first playing (lots of static) and then put in antistatic sleeve.

Hidden record? Please Music Industry, forget this gimmick. Don´t want to destroy a record cover.

Cleansing is essential to remove residue and static. After cleaning with a Disco-Antistat, the LPs all sound fine to me, with the exception of Side 1 of Heaven 1 (E1 and E2, above). The bass seems to be slightly over-powered and the overall tone is a bit muddy. I haven't compared to CD (you may wish to consult Dr Loudness Wars), but it does sound marginally better than the high quality stream I tried (Tidal HiFi). Listened to on a Rega RP1, Rotel A10 combi amp.
