To be honest im not satisfied with that remastered version.. I love her but this isnt the sound that i expecting from this legendary album.. It seems once again this remastered version kills any kind explosion and atmosphere.. The album at the end not sound so 80s to me.. Is like more slow and they try to give it more depth but somehow you feel the music is so quiet.. You feel someone whispering and not singing... Perhaps like usual they try to delete the noises and delete some power of the album too.. Specially on "Cloudbusting" that is one of my favorite songs.. There almost get sleep on my chair.. The music struggling to come out.. So weak and so soft.. Cant cover you.. Really.. And despite all this, once again we dont have the original "Big sky" but the remix like the 2011 CD reissue.. Really whats going on with that song? We buy the real album or some remix version? Why she decide to put the remix inside? She prefer it? Or she lost some tapes ? I dont know really but the album has one less good song inside..
After some great remasters from her i dont know what happened here.. This is the ultimate album from her and i expecting better work.. Still some mp3 from the original album can sound better than this version...
In few words this remastered is very dull.. I cant enjoy the music.. Personal i suggest to have the original 80s album.. Here see make me very sad...

I'm struggling to establish how Hounds of Love could ever have sounded better than this release does. Although I don't own the original pressing, this is the best I've ever heard this album sound. Inky black soundfloor, stunning soundstage, no inner grove distortion, detail my digital copy can't resolve, yet without harshness. Perfect!

My copy plays ok but I am not over-excited because I am waiting for a repress for years now - and yes: it's quiet but in the really quiet places it has some background noise of pressing. Not a perfect cut for me. Also: The Big Sky is a complete different version then the Original Big Sky on the Original pressing. It's also mentioned on the sleeve as "7" mix" and at Original album this is not mentioned. I am happy that it's repressed though and it's a "do-able" repress. I played this album with a concord Blue needle - and you hear almost every detail. I have to say that the background noise is not overpowering but it's there. The Original is simply better. So if you have the Original pressing Near Mint; then you are better off then this one; that's my opinion. Also this is a completely different label then Original label. I just want to say that they pressed this on a different way then the Original one. The remastering is ok - but I simply love the Original copy better. I rate this repress 7/10.

Very quiet vinyl. My copy sounds very much like the UK original in the mix, but more brilliant, including that her voice is lighter/thinner. Bought this because my original is noicy in parts.
