I think this release Is a rather dull affair. Very flat eq and lacking detail.

I have the original press to compare, and however it isn.t the nicest copy this 1985 press sounds brighter and more natural.

I am not a fan of the 7“ Big Sky - but that detail becomes almost irrelevant once you realise that this Remaster is among the best sounding records in your whole collection. There is no surface noise, absolutely no IGD and so many details that I just never heard before — and I‘ve listened to this record on end for days. I‘ve owned it on CD, an older LP from the 80s, Streaming, FLAC... nothing comes close to the fidelity and sheer amount of detail that is present here. I don’t want to sound like a hype sticker, but you never heard Hounds of Love the way you will hear it here. This Might be the best pressing I‘ve ever heard of any album. Bravo.

Compared to CDs, this LP release disappointed me with its boomy bass and rolled-off treble, which does not do justice to Kate Bush’s incredible voice. Further, there are unnecessary volume level differences that should have been equalised, esp. The Big Sky vs rest of side A. I wish I have not bought it.

The 7" Big Sky sounds terrible, a very noticeable drop in fidelity that is completely disruptive of the listening experience. What were they thinking?

I'm struggling to establish how Hounds of Love could ever have sounded better than this release does. Although I don't own the original pressing, this is the best I've ever heard this album sound. Inky black soundfloor, stunning soundstage, no inner grove distortion, detail my digital copy can't resolve, yet without harshness. Perfect!

My copy plays ok but I am not over-excited because I am waiting for a repress for years now - and yes: it's quiet but in the really quiet places it has some background noise of pressing. Not a perfect cut for me. Also: The Big Sky is a complete different version then the Original Big Sky on the Original pressing. It's also mentioned on the sleeve as "7" mix" and at Original album this is not mentioned. I am happy that it's repressed though and it's a "do-able" repress. I played this album with a concord Blue needle - and you hear almost every detail. I have to say that the background noise is not overpowering but it's there. The Original is simply better. So if you have the Original pressing Near Mint; then you are better off then this one; that's my opinion. Also this is a completely different label then Original label. I just want to say that they pressed this on a different way then the Original one. The remastering is ok - but I simply love the Original copy better. I rate this repress 7/10.

Very quiet vinyl. My copy sounds very much like the UK original in the mix, but more brilliant, including that her voice is lighter/thinner. Bought this because my original is noicy in parts.
