It was sad to see "Got Myself Together" not to have the same kind of success "The Bomb" had. The reason might be that the commercial Full Intention mixes (here under the alias of "Hustlers Convention") were mostly unconvincing. Conceived around the Piano House frenzy of the era (think Loveland, Happy Clappers...), it certainly sounds dated now. The bassline on track 4 is similar to the Armand Van Helden remix of "Professional Widow", and might have a little bit of potential. But I would rather stick to the original Kenny Dope mixes (along with the Todd Terry version which works very well). Another proof that Daft Punk were not the first to take disco loops, add some filters and start the party.

"Got Myself Together" is such a great song! When I first heard this, I was 10 years old, and I thought it was an actual song from the 70s, and it sounded like something my dad would listen to. I didn't know it sampled another song, because I didn't know what sampling was back then. I thought the vocals and instruments were live. I grew to like this song alot, and I think it's one of the best dance songs of all time! It's samples Brass Construction's 1975 hit "Movin'"
