Not so boring as to be remarkable, just flabby, mid-tempo mildly churlish chugging in the most pedestrian ov Es, with non-plussing I-don't-care-what-my-vocals-sound-like vocals that should be better or worse or anything but what they are.
If almost anything was different about this record it would be an improvement; if the tempo was slower OR faster. If the delivery was mor disinterested or less. If the songs and their MEGA-GENERIC chord regressions were even mor bland OR less. If Larry's vocals were more lifeless OR mor vital.
Yet another example ov this shorthaired half-baked toss at pseudo metal themes, ostensibly thru the lens ov punk, but so characteristically UNCHARACTERISTIC ov any style or aesthetic as to be the musical equivalent ov when a kindergartener tries mixing every color ov paint --we've all done it-- and the results ar consistently the same rather than reliably different: you get a useless purple-gray and decide not to paint ANYTHING.
Now that this band hates me (I consider them friends, maybe in the past tense after this review), I should mention that their new studio stuff sounds RILL GOOT; it sounds well-engineered, really thick and BIG and the material is pretty well written, I've heard about half ov it, I don't know the name ov the album.
Anyway, 21 people want this for some reason, that's more than the number who wants anything I've got up on this site so on behalf ov KILSLUG, "you win".
Intravenously, NN
