Is everyone else's copy of this permanently damaged because Rephlex stupidly packaged the vinyl in a plastic sleeve that created a chemical reaction with the vinyl resulting in permament damage and hideous surface noise. What a bummer. I might as well throw it away now. Unless you separated the record from the sleeve shortly after buying your vinyl is trashed.

Actually released rather later than the date on the sleeve, in common with numerous Rephlex releases of the period. This one came out in the spring of 1996.

"Sanq" is the best track (just as good as the Autechre remix, IMO); the rest of the LP is more miss than hit.

A few exceptionally good tracks of melodic, if simple, Ambient/weirdo stuff("Flicklife", "Plasmoid", "Spode") bookending many tracks of less interesting, mediocre quality. Some of the sounds used are pretty dated these days, and there's much about this that doesn't hold up to constant listening, but on the tracks that work, there's a shimmering, evil beauty that's hard to beat.
