this record is called SPRING ROUNDS due to a conversation i had with dan in ramsgate. he noticed that i sometimes played the first few bars of the rite of spring on guitar whilst we were sound-checking/rehearsing, and mentioned that he’d once played the piece as part of a youth orchestra. we agreed that one of the best bits is the seriously heavy chord sequence at the start of the “spring round dances” section of the first act. also, (almost) all the recording for this cd took place in spring, and the front cover is of the kent countryside in spring, and well it just seemed very fitting ok
