what can you say about kiss? this is the greatest rock band of all time... from a marketing standpoint. indeed, they were bloody geniuses. as for their music, they have a catalogue of some of the worst music ever. if the music can be viewed as a part of kiss' sum, they might be forgiven. however, we have Stanley and Simmons touting their musical legacy every chance they get. they do so with the utmost seriousness. the thing is, the more seriously they take themselves, the more silly they appear. this is not music for the ages. nothing about it is groundbreaking. but, when heard exactly for what it is, a soundtrack for the greatest marketing in rock and roll history, it is just plain fun. exactly what rock and roll is all about.
