Preview first draft from a forthcoming edition of The Crack In The Cosmic Egg CD-Rom...

Amongst the most obscure of all Schneeball bands, Kling Klong seem to have been born out of the Nürnberg new wave underground (or at least from that region of Germany), which is no doubt why so many references encountered list them as an NDW act.

The sole document of their existence is the one LP release LIEBEN SIE IHREN KÜHLSCHRANK (meaning "Love Your Refrigerator") which is surely one of the rarest of the Schneeball label. The LP is extremely wide ranging, sometimes of that avant jazz-funk post new wave as also heard on a couple of tracks from label mates Schäggi Bädsch. There are also lots of great purely Krautrock moments, hints of Guru Guru and Embryo to be found. In all, a surprising band.
