I enjoyed this early release from Komet. The excellent closing track Sign hints at the more fluid and polished sound of later releases - probably best to check them out first. Many of the other tracks here are a little more raw and abrasive by his standards but still worth checking out, especially if you're interested to see how his sound has evolved. I have to skip track 4 (Step) every time though as the high-pitched tones are genuinely painful to my ears!

A bad release for Komet or Raster-Noton. This feels very primordial, undeveloped and amateur. Much prefer later Komet. This could have been released a few years earlier and it would have been less embarrassing.

My introduction to Komet was on the Microscopic Sound compilation. I quickly grabbed this release from my local record shop and was immediately captivated. This is probably his most accessible release to date. The sounds are clean - operating room clean. This cool, crisp piece of electronica is perfect for those cold winter nights.

the komet-debut, almost straight forward minimal techno compared to his later works, where he moved more and more into common glitch. this is showing clear how much komet aka frank bretschneider has been coming from a classic club-music background.
