B1 tries to achieve the same effect Marc Acardipane has tried to achieve with his track 'Pitch-Hiker' under his moniker Pilldriver back in 1995. However, in doing so '909 Distortion' appears to be much less inspired and rather dull. At the end of the day it's just messing around with some distortion patterns and doesn't go anywhere really.

The rest of the EP is some generic frenchcore with some raps in it one could find a lot in frenchcore around the time the record came out. So no news here either, except for A2 which to me is the most decent track on this release. It combines typical Komprex-elements such as guitar riffs and this one distorted 'tinny' sounding clap with a fat distorted frenchcore beat known from 'Radium is Dead' for instance.

Overall with this release I have the feeling Komprex and Frazzbass tried to go in some new direction, while I prefer their original style. At the end of the day to me the release is pretty average and might only be relevant to collectors of Komprex & Frazzbass releases.
