bought this when it was first released. Loved it ever since.
Listening to this track is more like a journey one would take. A simple breakbeat, partnered by an even more simple bassline. Coupled with some fantastic FX. I have mixed this track playing it all the way through, because I cant get enough of it.
By rights, this shouldn't be considered a good D&B tune. And its not. Its an absolute classic D&B tune.
For all you moody ravers out there ;-)

My my what a piece of music lots of people always ask why drum n bass was never used more in main stream film. Kick back and have a listen to this by Mr Krust. Like Soul in Motion it is the production and the use of sounds that are so great, this beats Soul in Motion all over the place, it sounds like a film score on the darker side of things a seriously well engineered piece or art. If ever a DnB tune was to be used in a film there are more than a few that would sound amazing, True Stories would beat all of them to it though. The way it shifts you all over the place, you could listen to it in most scenarios and feel something quite deep. Just kick back and listen to a mighty piece of music Krust's finest IMHO the dude just knows. Cold war is not just an afterthought either some serious tuunneagggee on the flip, a nice rolling piece of DnB. If you do not own a copy of this why? You need to own this!! You must own this!!

Coming from the man who made 'Warhead', you might expect another hard-hitting dancefloor heavyweight. Not true. In 'True Stories', Krust instead chose to explore the more soulful side of Drum n Bass. With a carefully crafted break running throughout, some incredibly emotional strings (Courtesy of Kirk Thompson), and a barrage of meticously sampled FX, Krust hits the mark, leaving a deep melancholy vibe that sticks with you for quite a long time. This definitely deserves a listen by anyone who considers themselves a fan of Drum n Bass. So what are you waiting for? Hurry up and head over to eBay!
