cleaned my a couple times before playing, and my pressing is very clean sounding, but quiet, turn it up and no noise, although this version isn't over dynamic...i can live with it, as good stoner music should never be perfect

Wow, some bad reviews, well mine sounds great! Silent, clean and no noise, now I do have to crank it up because it was pressed at a low volume but thats not a problem - r1 61571 , 2014 reissue on vinyl

My copy sounds fine to me, but maybe I'm just not as much of an audiophile as everyone else. It's the cheapest vinyl copy I could find of this album because everyone jacks up the price for the other pressings WAY too high, so I think this pressing is great considering having to pay way more for other vinyl copies.

PS: Screw you, vinyl scalpers.

Agree with what everyone else said, this remastering is total shit. The volume is way to low for you to hear the distinct tones of every instrument. Takes away a lot from the overall experience as one of the strongest points of Kyuss was their immersive sound as a unit.....
This recording does a lot of unjustice to Homme's guitar too, taking away a lot of the dynamics. I played this record expecting the wall of fuzz in "Gardenia" to shake the foundations of my home.... Sadly i was dissappointed.
In all reality though, the record was pretty cheap (25 CAD)...
IMO save up for a better version

This pressing is horribly mastered for vinyl. It sounds like garbage. Avoid!

Mine is very noisy too, with a very noticeable clicking sound near the end of side A.
This is made worse by the fact that the pressing is so quiet.
I was really hoping to shake the walls with this one, but the mastering is flat and I simply can't turn it up loud enough to really rock as the surface noise is too distracting.
Even after a thorough clean it sounds bad. I have a copy on audio cassette that I recorded from the CD when it was released which sounds better.
Such a disappointment. Will be looking for an original pressing.

Also a quiet pressing. Great album (and worth it if you can get it for $15) but everything about this re-issue is disappointing.

kind of a noisy pressing? Needs a good cleaning even if new.
