The music on this album is incredible, but the fidelity of this pressing is subpar; each side contains well over 20 mins of music. This should have been a double LP. I would think that the CD edition of this release sounds better; however, it is likely that both were sourced from a dub of the original 1977 LP, which I believe was also crammed onto two sides of vinyl. This album is not an audiophile experience, and that's really not the point, of course. I just wish i'd bought the CD instead, as I suspect it probably has the better fidelity of the two formats. Anyone heard both and care to weigh in?
