A1 and B1 are absolutely massive - 127 and 122 BPMs. Even though there are two cuts on Side B, the 138 BPM Vinyl Cut has been remastered well. This 12" sounds lovely. Pick your vibe!

Oliver Lieb is a f***ing genius, you already know that. The original Netherworld was already a perfection, but he managed to equal it with this 2005 (that sounds totally timeless) remix, though clearly more "dancefloor" oriented. Could be played in any set without any problem

I found the Jules Verne mix on Sasha And Digweed's Northern Exposure 2. It blew my mind. Absolutely beautiful track.

Another Lieb masterpiece - the vinyl cut is the definitive version that all others derive from. The spectacular gated synth riff in the breakdown is the thing that will take you to the netherworld :)

Like many people say, this is in my eyes Oliver Lieb's best work along with Hearts and Blueprint, every track on this single is just great! Oliver Lieb lays the foundations with the iconic sounds in the 7" edit and the Vinyl Cut, Kid Loops provides a very ambient breaks interpretation, Jules Verne goes full out raw trance (My favourite) and DJ Randy gives us a clue in the title and provides a smokey, techno track filled with echos and reverbs which gives it good atmosphere. This is without a doubt one of the top 5 greatest pieces of work provided for the electronic community.

The reason to get this is for the Jules Verne remix. What starts out as a catchy, dancey rockin' intro build effortlessly turns into an absolute explosion of that Oliver Lieb-signature melody into a pounding, building crescendo of beautiful trance music .. then fades away. Absolutely fabulous trance. The other side is good, too, but the remix is what makes this record worth having. Just a flawless interpretation of Netherworld makes you hungry for more.

Netherworld is an outstanding track, that features the deepest analog-synthlines, very complex synth programming and some spectacular textures, a trashed vocal sample and a rhythm that pumps like a steam machine. Songoriented build up and a nice female vocal sample round up for an all time classic, that expands the boundaries of trance by ignoring the rules and elements that todays stereotypical dancefloor progressive/hard trance tools rely on.

Netherworld (Vinyl Cut) is Oliver Lieb at his pumping best. He takes this interpretation down a more prog trance route than he usually known for. As was common back in 1997, the track begins with a breaky intro, before settling into a tough hypnotic groove. The melody is somewhat understated; instead there are cosmic/new age type synths swirls that do indeed take the listener on a journey to another world.

This is truly one of the best tracks ever created by Oliver Lieb! Very well structured and highly emotional and obsessive! When the break commes in it's like an explosion of love! This release really shows the true dimension of Oliver Lieb's creative power.
This is a must have in your Trance collection.
I love the "DJ Randy's Smoke Free Mix"
