I was pretty disappointed when i stuck the first cd of progression sessions 5 in the cd player, the tunes sounded kinda boring, lazy and repetitive. This was made even worse by conrad's mcing which seemed to be totally out of place with the relaxed tunes and it all seemed awful, probably why the ratings on here are lower than normal.

However, when I stuck on the instrumental disk on straight afterwards, only then did progression sessions 5 start to sink in and make sense. Its a slightly different progression sessions from the usual Bukem creation in as much as the tunes are spaced out and sort of in a dream-world whilst still maintaining the usual strong beat at the forefront with ear-massaging basslines in the background. The more spaced out/chilled out ambience to progression sessions 5 tracks is best enjoyed instrumentally to let the tunes work their delicate, sensual magic. the mcing of the first just totally wrecks the tunes proper purpose.

Yet another excellent progression sessions but for a different reason. Bring those sweet, sweet basslines and float through the clouds :-)
