No review of this one? Unbelievable. So I will share my thoughts.

I remember an article written in our newspaper about house music. The tendency of the article was that house music was loud, monotonous, nihilistic and above all things meaningless and braindead. I have to say that there were many tracks out there that were indeed forgettable, but this one is definitely an exception to the rule. It is one of my favourite tracks of 1991.

Of all the versions out there, the radio edit and the album version work the best. Dark and moody, sounding a bit like Telex "Moskow Diskow" and a voice-over that warns about "that AIDS thing that is not working" and as a result, we are ultimately killing ourselves while having sex. The replayed sample of Bach's "Toccata (Toccata And Fungue For Pipe Organ)" adds to the suspense.

We get downbeat "Mo'Sleezy Mix" and "Ralphie's Orgasmic Mix" versions as well as harder-edged "Crunch-O" and "Missionary" versions, but these are a bit far apart from the original. My favourite remix was not released on 12 inch, but as a bonus on LaTour's eponymous debut album. Check that one out.
