Just got mine today and played it all the way through, nothing wrong whatsoever. Maybe the pressings got better or there were just a few duds floating around

Well, this is the first picture disc I've ever bought. Of course, I tend to avoid them because they supposedly sound bad, and I love to listen to my records as opposed to look at them. I'm glad I took the risk on this one, as it sounds pretty damned good. Granted, I had low expectations, and it's certainly a bit on the noisy side at the beginning of sides and on quiet parts (the very few there are on this album). If you love this album and want to be able to listen to it loud on a stereo through vinyl, I would recommend. However, as has been pointed out, it is indeed censored... but so are all of the CD versions I've heard. I really don't know why this was done, as there are definitely explicit versions of the songs that are censored here (namely the music videos on Youtube, but I don't know about the singles).

Had quite low expectations of this release, but maybe I got lucky as mine doesn't sound too bad,
not too clicky & poppy, it does have the classic picture disc roar, but not at too higher level, I have new black vinyl with higher background noise levels and lets be honest, Gaga's Fame Monster isn't a exactly a fragile breathy acoustic so you never notice.
as for the overall sound, I have lots of Boomy Bass and Roar! which is how the music is, its modern Synth Pop mastered for the Ipod dock.
As others have said, sadly its the censored version, but if you want it on vinyl this is the only option so far, maybe a deluxe pressing of the whole album will be released on vinyl one day.
To sum up, in my opinion on my equipment (Rega Planar P3, Ortofon 2m Black, Kef LS50's) it sounds fine, not the best it could be but its not a bin job or fit for wall mounting only, Still a pleasure to own.

It is indeed not very good in sound quality but having a good appearance undoubtedly. The sound does not impress me much and it is a censored version which depresses me the most, though it is one of the best album in human history. However, it is still a copy that as a Little Monster should own one but don't expect too much on it. Since it is the sole version of vinyl release, just don't miss it out before it has been sold out which I saw it as my encouragement buying it. LOL

This is an abhorrently noisy pressing. No nuance whatsoever. A result of the picture disc maybe? Who knows, but this is not an ideal vinyl pressing. The fact that it's censored only adds to the offensiveness of the release.
