A glorious work from Laibach discography !
Complex musical production.
The music is scary and also beautiful.
Modern classical music and industrial Integrated together.
Lots of Voice samples
and Wide range of expression of poetry and speeches.

The best track is track number 8; Apologija Laibach/Laibach-Apologie;

The atmosphere creates a vision of
A radio broadcaster reporting in Slovenian language about a takeover of the world by an underground organization. The language is slovenian.

This track presents Strength and beauty of the Industrial genre in his finest and Glorious moment.

The track is 12:24 minutes long.
It starts with hard Programming of very powerful Metal that used in industrial plants and construction. The Metal brutally slammed again and again. In the Background there are bells and synthesizer with low organ sound.

After almost 2 minutes starts very dramatic and scary Speech,
After a few minutes a thick vocal singing filled with grief enters to the mix .
At the peak of the song bursts into the song a combination of two singing voices
singing the same tune and lyrics in a different timing , this is a song of lament.

Other best tracks: 1/Jezero / Der See, Valjhun / Waldung, Delak
2/Koža / Die Haut.4/Bogomila - Verführung.
6/Črtomir. 9/Herzfeld
10/Krst / Die Taufe, Germania

One ov the best albums EVER.
Destroys the kompetition panidiomtically, superceding the very best examples ov Industrial, neoclassical, minimalism, sound arts, opera, simultaneously exemplifying all ov them equally, in a sort ov fused superidiom ov it's own. Incomparable. Impekkable packaging, Libretto-booklet and poster, brilliant and inspiring, possessing a terrible beauty.
An album too sublime to follow.

I really like Laibach and, it's true, they have had different musical "phases". But, i like as much this album as i like "Volk" or "Kapital"…
Just to mention it, "Krst Pod Triglavom" (or "Baptism Below Triglav") is also an hommage to Mount Triglav (the "Tree-headed" mountain), which is one of Slovenia's pride. And, concerning samples used in this album, they have used a lot of samples from Carl Orff's "De Temporun fine Comoedia" (quite brilliantly, i must say).

The music on this album was made for a theatre piece done by Gledališče Sester Scipion Nasice, a theatre group belonging to the same Neue Slovenische Kunst movement as Laibach. Perhaps due to its function as a theatre score it is more diverse than most of Laibach's other albums.

"Krst Pod Triglavom" is Laibach at their best. Although some songs are re-workings of earlier material, the album marked a considerable step forward for the band in song arrangement and production technique. Vocals are applied in a more subtle way than before. The repetitive vocal samples on tracks like "Jagerspiel", "Herzfeld" and Koza (Die Haut)" add a new, hypnotic quality to the band's music. Not only is the album the perfection of their early phase, in which they incorporated themes and samples of classic film music (Bernhard Hermann, Maurice Jarre, et al), but also the end of it. After this album Laibach became more poppy and less interesting, changing their concept by doing (supposedly) ironic covers of cheesy pop songs.

Laibach's supreme masterpiece. This is modern classical as it's best, the history of Slovenia in music, from prehistory down to modern times. "Krst / Die Taufe, Germania" is their best track ever, with hammering industrial steel drums, obsessive machinery noise, apocalyptic trumpets and the gloomy demon voice. The ideal soundtrack for Doomsday. This 2LP set came in a box strongly resembling the Deutsche Grammophone ones!
