I cannot really describe how much I love this record! This pressing though is by far, one of the worst I've ever encountered! Surface noise all through the LP. I've learnt to love it with all its flaws along the years. Can anyone confirm having same issues? Hope it's just my fault copy.

I wanted to add my two cents as the reviews of this album have caused quite a stir. The main point of contention seems to be her voice and the intentional "pitching" of the voice over the songs. I personally love it! Laurel's music is great and in my opinion the inclusion of her voice makes the songs more listenable. I do not think I would like this album as much without her voice. I think a great example of this would be the song "Years". The ambiance of the song is done very well but having the vocals pushed to the front in the manner they are just makes the song to me more powerful. I could understand if this was Laurel Halo's first release and there was no history of her music to look to as reference. Any who, I would listen to snippets to see if this is something you would be interested in. As in my case, the debates among friends have been good. The album seems to be a "Love it or Hate it" type affair. Great job Hyperdub on releasing this. It has been on repeat ever since I received it. What do you all think?
