This is a really cool album. I've only listened to the YouTube version, because who the heck has $4000 to put down on one album? I like it a lot - it actually reminds me of Humble Pie, and Peter French really sounds a lot like Steve Marriott. A very, very cool album, but I wouldn't pay even 1/10th of the average price for it.

If you're looking for a monster rock album that eats these mushrooms before dinner, check out Night Sun - Mournin. Oh, and it's having a 90% off sale compared to the Money Hound.

Saying that Leaf Hound's "Growers of Mushroom" is prog is a bit of a stretch. Surely there are tempo changes in some songs and the band employs a diverse range of tones for each song, but I would liken this album to early heavy metal, in the vein of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.

Stoner rock fans hail Leaf Hound as one of the pioneers of their genre - and it is not hard to see why in the opening track of the album "Freelance Fiend"; a short but very heavy song, especially for 1970. The original English LP is one of the most sought after records of all time - with a mint copy going in excess of a staggering $4,000. Heres to one of the most underrated rock bands in history!!! What an impressive album.

This is pretty maintream rock, overrated as prog. And wasn´t it so outer space rare, proggers would only talk about it as one-in-the-crowd album one could have, good and ok, but not necessary.
