Coming from an Italian and the Classic Records to this was not as gratifying of an experience as I wanted. I was hoping it to incorporate the best of both worlds and while it might take strides that way it doesnt reach it for me. Its very similar to the Italian and other early releases of the time with a direct and punchy sound. It also does lay more focus on the mid range encapsulating vocals in a more in your face manner but does not reach the clarity of the Classic. Stereo imaging, instrumental separation, dynamics and overall detail is appreciated better on the Classic and while it is not as punchy as the UK or Italian it still envokes more presence and realism that way. Early attempts at the album seem to excude similar qualities and are probably great for those enjoying a more rock and roll style sound not worried to much about the intent listening experience. Yet the UK inherets less bass compared to both the others which is a big blow for me. I also experience the sound to be slightly more brittle like compared to the Classic or even Italian that I remember. I just cant recommend it at the prices you typically find.

Current Ranking:
1. Classic Records
2. Italian (unclear as I dont own to compare anymore)
3. John Davis 2014 Remaster
4. UK Plum (This)
