I like their debut much better than the down-tempo crap of their second release many years later. Some may argue they where maturing others like me say the took the wrong turn at the music intersection. They lost their really moody atmospheric edge for cheesy bossa loops(which are stale and a cheap sell out for cheesy noveau chic bar/lounge background muzak) of which I am not sorry to say Kruder and Dorfmeister hit a high mark establishing that genre. I happen to like the more DIY lo-fi sound of 90s IDM and this release fits that to a T.

Does anyone know how many of these are being manufactured? I see that 12 people have this in their collection; mine's #046 (just got it).

Synaptic Response is probably one of the best psychedelic/downtempo tracks I've ever heard. Listening to an old IDM/electronica radio show when I was about eight years old I used to record every show on tape, this one made its way onto one of the old tapes and I listened over and over, the intricate synth melody, the lush strings, the gorgeous vocal, and a solid beat to boot, what more could you like?

My parents eventually bought it for me (there was a period where my mom actually played it on repeat for artistic inspiration) and I found out how amazing all of the other tracks on this album are. One of the early, ESSENTIAL IDM gems out there that is sadly overlooked.

Check this out if you haven't, you will not be disappointed.

"Synaptic Response (Faculties Of Cognition)" is one of my all-time downtempo favorites.
It brings to downtempo and hiphop beats some psychedelic and panoramic elements reminiscent of what Hardkiss were doing with house and Rabbit In The Moon with trance and breaks at the same period.
Richly coulourful, uplifting, lush and melodic.

LOGM's first full length release is a steady maturation process. Lush and quirky sounds... beautiful yet innovative.
