Leila K. had just gone solo after her Rob'n'Raz stint. and was recommended to us at Mega - we signed her up not really knowing what we were getting into at that point! Part of the logic in this was her association with master producer Denniz PoP, that Mega admired for his fantastic work at SweMix (soon to be Cheiron) also for Ace Of Base on Mega Rec's back in the days of "All That She Wants". In my mind, Leila K. is the first-ever "rock-star" performer in Dance Rap, on-stage... and off-stage.

"Open Sesame" is amongst "best-ever" tracks, and deservedly on Discogs.com. Most of it was done on an Akai S1000 sampler, and, a textbook example of "less-is-more". Add this one to a "best of Denniz PoP"
