It is unfortunate that more people don't know about Lil' Louis beyond his groundbreaking release "French Kiss", cause he was responsible for some hot underground cuts on Ray Barney's Dance Mania that are still classics to this day! This release is no excpetion, and is one of my favourite Lil' Louis productions. "Wargames" is a wigged out minimal house track that will please techno fans with its tough beats, however it is "Seven Days of Peace" that is the real gem here. The track is an old school vocal cut with the most amazing melody underneath which Louis keeps on adding sounds to throughout its duration... the track is made all the more better, by the roughness that his production gear gives to it - a wicked track that every fan fan of Chicago house should own!

The A-side seems to be more charts compatible (in the late 80ies), but the flipside with 3 versions of "Wargames" are absolutely correct works. The "Ass Backwards Remix" (B2) is a shorter version of track B1 cutted in REVERSE mode on the 12 inch! It gives me an abstract kickin’ feeling and that is right.
