something about the vibe of this track always reminded me of Vikter Duplaix's "Messages" track from (1999) https://www.discogs.com/Critical-Point-Feat-Vikter-Duplaix-Messages/release/90

One of my favorite $2 digs. Timeless record that still bumps to this day.

An excellent, but very hard-to-find first-time collaboration from SF DJ Monty Luke and producer Sam Urton, a.k.a. L. Ray Robinson. The label the record came out on went under several months after its release. The main mix incorporates the "Too High" loop, a lush string build and a cut-up vocal snippet to excellent effect. The b-side is deeper, slightly more acidic and for late-night beatdown behaviour. Happy hunting!

'What U feel' shows that house music doesn't have to be complicated to get you in the mood. Easy and somewhat universal this is basic house music! The vocal may be overused but it's a decent house track to build from. The remixes offer a more laidback bassline-orientated approach while the main mix has a real summer feel to it.
